Located 40km from the central downtown, the picturesque Ming Tombs Reservoir is in Beijing Changping District, where there is famous world cultural heritage “Ming Tombs”. The major triathlon venue is near the big dam of Ming Tombs Reservoir. The swimming race will be held in the reservoir, cycling and running on the big dam and south road of the dam. The total distance is 51.5km, including 1.5km swim (one lap), 40km cycle (6 laps) and 10km run (4 laps). The course and competition pattern are the same with that of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games Triathlon. The athlete may directly get Olympic qualification ranking score to compete for Olympic qualification and be familiar with the course before hand. Two gold medal will emerge here in triathlon event of XXIX Olympic games.
